So Young Now...

I just located my old blog after a new friend has been discussing and teaching blogging to others. It's funny how perspective changes so much in such a short time. My old (pre-kids) life really seems like a much more distant memory to me, but as I read my previous blog entries, I am thrown right back into these memories, and the feelings of moving out of the city and into surburbia in Feb. 2005. Many things change. The biggest and happiest change has been the addition of another baby! Jack came along in January of 2007, and has made us all view the world through a new set of eyes, once again! Jack was a long time coming...it took me a while to convince Kurt that we did, in fact, want another baby! Then, we had a few problems during the pregnancy, which turned out to be (thankfully) nothing to worry about, and out popped our little baby boy, the smallest yet at 6 pounds 13 ounces! He came out in less than 2 minutes of pushing, which is not so surprising when you consider that Max (at 9 pounds 1 ounce!) was out in 14 minutes!

We are still chugging along here. I have not returned to work, although finances are tight. I do feel like I need something more, at times, but when I look at the smile on Jack's face, or his day-to-day discoveries, I really try to assess what life is all about. I know I will be back at work some time soon, and I know I will forever ask why I was in such a rush to get back...and I know I will have a lifetime of regrets if I miss the early formative years by returning to work before it's time.

Well, many years have passed, and many things have changed, but things are still the same!
