The kids had another opportunity to see Santa this weekend! They know now that most of the Santas they see around Christmas time are "helpers" for the real Santa (they caught on pretty early that Santas don't resemble each other in any way, shape or form!) but I keep them on their toes by telling them that they never know which Santa could be the REAL Santa!
Nicole and her "Just Like You" American Girl Doll (name still undetermined, although we may be closing in on one) got dressed up in their Christmas best to see Santa this time!
Jack wasn't even remotely nervous to sit on Santa's lap this time around (ho ho ho hum, Santa!) and I am pretty sure it's because he was watching Santa dole out the goods to the other kids who sat before him on Santa's lap!
Nicole and Jack were very happy with their gifts! Unfortunately, Max cried like his heart was breaking because he didn't like Santa's gift!! (He had his eye on a toy another little boy received a few minutes before him!) A different little boy traded toys with Max (but it wasn't "THE" toy) so he ended up moderately happy overall, but we are trying to review proper Santa etiquette with Max so he doesn't end up a sad little boy with a coal-filled stocking for Christmas!!!
